Bjånes
We're not building homes. We're building a new district.

Along the Bjørnefjord, with Solstrand across the water, an entirely new district is being planned from the ground up: fjord homes, a culture park, a marina and meeting places in one of Western Norway’s most beautiful coastal landscapes.
The project story
The story of Bjånes is a story of patience. Work began in 2007, and after years of planning the municipal sub-plan was adopted in 2012. It allows roughly 1,200–1,500 homes within a 2,200-acre plan area. Few places in Norway plan an entire district with such a long horizon.
The place
The peninsula stretches from Moldegaard to Hatvik, with the Bjørnefjord as its nearest neighbour. Here the coast has always meant livelihood and passage. The vision therefore draws on the best of European coastal culture: dense, living settlements that meet the water with respect.
Vision and concept
Bjånes is to become a place to live a whole life. Fjord homes with the sea as their nearest neighbour, a culture and nature park, a marina, activity facilities and perhaps a resort hotel. Everything is developed with local anchoring as the guiding principle, in close dialogue with the municipality and the people who already belong here.
Milepel's role
Bjånes Fjordboliger AS is owned by Milepel together with GSE Sandvik AS, LieGruppen AS and OBOS.
