The project story
The full renovation in 2021 was about preserving what makes the villa a gem while preparing it for a new century. In 2024 the offices were completed, and the house once again filled with everyday voices.
The place
The villa at Sundts veg 55 was completed in 1923, designed by Frederik Konow Lund, one of Bergen’s most distinctive architects. For a hundred years it has watched life around Nordåsvannet, and now it stands at the heart of the new Skjoldnes story.
Vision and concept
Konow is a workplace with a club feeling: private offices for 2–6 people, shared meeting rooms, an in-house gym and the Konow Lounge, with Konow Club membership included for every tenant. In time, the villa will also serve as a natural service centre for the residents of Skjoldnes, with restaurant, wine cellar and guest suites.
